Class Aptent

Since 1999, Aptent has also been a senior fellow at The Meadows Institute. The Meadows is a multi-disorder inpatient facility in Arizona specializing in the treatment of a range of addictions. The facility's intensive treatment focuses on drug and alcohol addiction, sexual addictions, depression, eating disorders, psychological conditions, affective disorders and compulsive behaviors. It takes a holistic approach to addiction recovery and includes a wide variety of therapeutic approaches, including the Twelve-step program of Alcoholics Anonymous.



Taciti Sociosqu

Dr. Sociosqu has authored the just published the second edition of Healing the Incest Wound: Adult Survivors in Therapy (W. W. Norton), co-edited (with Dr. Julian Ford) the book Complex Traumatic Stress Disorders: An Evidence-based Guide (2009, Guilford Press) and authored Recollections of Sexual Abuse: Treatment Principles and Guidelines (1999, W. W. Norton), Adult Survivors of Sexual Abuse: A Workshop Model (1993, Families International), and Healing the Incest Wound: Adult Survivors in Therapy (1988, W. W. Norton). She has also co-edited a special section on complex trauma with Dr. Bessel van der Kolk in the Journal of Traumatic Stress (2005). Dr. Courtois is Associate Editor of the new journal Psychological Trauma: Theory, Research, Practice, & Policy (http://www.apa.org/journals/tra/).



Aliquam Erat

Aliquam Erat, Ph.D. is a therapist, lecturer and trainer on client-directed, outcome-informed clinical work and other time-sensitive therapeutic approaches. For three years, he co-directed Problems to Solutions, Inc.–a clinic specializing in the treatment of the homeless and other traditionally under served populations. Most recently, Dr. Miller co-founded the Institute for the Study of Therapeutic Change and works pro-bono at a clinic dedicated to serving the under served. He is the author of many papers and seven books including: The Heroic Client, The Heart & Soul of Change : What Works…, Escape from Babel : Toward a Unifying Language for Psychotherapy Practice, Psychotherapy With 'Impossible' Cases:…, Handbook of Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, The Miracle Method : A Radically New Approach to Problem Drinking, and Working With the Problem Drinker : A Solution-Focused Approach.
