Solution: Settings for communications, operations, code types, and user outputs are stored in non-volatile memory and can be configured from a host or auxilliary terminal by menu (Chapter 2 of user manual) or serial command (Chapter 3 of user manual).

To establish communication you will need to match the host's or auxiliary terminal's communication settings with your scanner's settings. Also make certain that the code type enabled in the scanner matches that of the label being used.
